Galatians 5:16-18
(Galatians 5:16-18)
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. (Galatians 5:16-18)
In chapter 5, verse 13,『 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 』 Freedom is free from yoke. The yoke is the servant's yoke. If you are in Christ, you are free. Salvation is a question of whether you have a yoke or enjoy freedom. The law is the yoke of the servant, and Christ gives freedom. If those who claim to have been freed to wear the slave's yoke, then it makes no sense. If you are free in Christ, you become the Son of God.
If you don't become a son of God, you become a servant of Satan. The Son of God cannot be a servant of Satan. As a son of God, he cannot be a servant of Satan. It definitely becomes one of the two. There is no middle. Being a son of God has the law of the Holy Spirit in your heart, and if you are a servant of Satan, you have sin in your heart, and you are locked in the law. When applied to the law of the Holy Spirit, the law (Moses' law) cannot be applied. Those who are trapped under the law become those who live by the desires of the body, and those who are guided by the Holy Spirit do not fulfill the desires of the body.
What the Apostle Paul is trying to say is, "He who is guided by the Holy Spirit is not under the law." Galatians 5:19-21 spoke of those who are under the law, those who desire to fulfill their fleshly desires.『 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 』However, in comparison, the followers of the Holy Spirit are also explained in Chapter 5:22-23. 『But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 』The person who wants to fulfill the greed of the body is the person who lives with the body of fresh because the spirit dies, and the person who follows the Holy Spirit is the person who lives with the body of the spirit.
In 1 John 5:18『 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 』Saints have two bodies. It is the body of the spirit and the body of fresh. However, the body of fresh is dead with Jesus Christ, and the body of spirit is resurrected. The body of fresh is the desire of the body, and the body of spirit is the heart of the Holy Spirit. So, the two are unable to work together. Those who are born again as spirits have a physical body alive, but their desires are dead. The body is just a skin.
In Galatians 5:24『And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 』 So, believing in Jesus is a belief in believing (with the body of the body) to die with Jesus Christ and resurrecting (with the body of the spirit) with Jesus Christ.
In John 13:34-35『 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. 』 The love of Jesus Christ is saving the Spirit. It does not mean physical love in this world, but saves the dead spirit. As Jesus died on the cross, God gave the believer the life of the Spirit. Likewise, the Saints in Christ are to impart life to others.
The fulfillment of the law is the death and love of the cross of Jesus Christ. Likewise, when the saints in Christ seek to save the spirit of others, Christ's love applies. The completion of the law is to give life to the dead spirit and save it. When we enter into Christ, the law is completed, and the spirit is revived. So, if the spirit of another person rises to the gospel, he too will fulfill the law through Christ.
In Chapter 5:16, 『This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. When the Holy Spirit comes into your heart, the Bible says that what the Holy Spirit does is testify of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Sin is not believing in what Jesus did. Jesus died on the cross and took away all the sin and blasphemy in the world, telling us that it is a sin not to believe it. Righteousness is that Jesus, as the last priest in this world, went to God of the throne with all the sins of the world. And the judgment is a testimony that the death of Jesus' cross began the judgment of Satan, the king of this world.
When the Holy Spirit is in the saints, the Holy Spirit testifies that Jesus has taken away all the sin and blasphemy in the world. However, those who think they must repent of their sins every day ignore what the Holy Spirit testifies. In other words, it means not being in Christ. Those who are in Christ do not have to worry because the Holy Spirit bears witness to the sins of this world. Those who are in Christ are dead on the cross with Jesus.
Those who think they are saved only by repenting every day are those who have not escaped their sins, and those who are locked in the law. So, they are not free of all the problems of sin in life, and if any one sin is committed in the world, they will be judged by the law. Jesus solved all the sins of the world through the death of the cross. Those who believe this must be freed of the problem of sin in Christ. The Bible clearly said that the Holy Spirit testifies to this. We must be born again with water and the Holy Spirit. Water means that the body of fresh on the cross is dead, so it is reborn as the Holy Spirit. Those who are born again are born again as spirit bodies, and the Holy Spirit is with them.
Without the Holy Spirit in me, only myself exists. This is "self-righteousness". You are trying to lead yourself to God. That is the idol. If you believe that the Holy Spirit guides you, even if you are not in Christ, you are trying to reveal your righteousness, believing in your idols, and falling into vain glory. In Galatians 5:24-25 『And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. "If you are not in Christ and repent of your sins every day, crying, and asking for forgiveness, you are like "ask yourself for forgiveness to you“, because there is no Holy Spirit, it is like trying to solve your problem. He believes that he was saved by believing in Jesus even without the Holy Spirit, and that he became a holy person by repenting every day and believing that he was cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
If the Holy Spirit is in my heart, I can believe what the Holy Spirit is witnessing, but because there is no Holy Spirit, I cannot hear what the Holy Spirit is doing, and so I do not believe the Holy Spirit. Whether the Holy Spirit is present or not is whether the believer died with Christ against the world or the law. How do you know? The Bible says that you can know by fruit.
